# Files Subsystem

The File Subsystem allows users to upload, manage, and organize files on any record. It is available under the Subsystem section of each module.

## Manage Files

1. Open a record and go to the relevant module.
2. In the right pane, select **Files** under the **Subsystem** section.
3. Use **Browse Files** or **drag and drop** to upload new files.
4. Click the download, delete, or hash icons to take action on each file.

## Use Tags

Tags help categorize and organize files for filtering or export (e.g., OSCAL).

### Add a Tag

1. Click **Add Tag** next to a file.
2. Select from existing tags or create a new one.

### Create a New Tag

1. Click **Create New+** in the tag selector.
2. Enter a **Title** and select a **Type**.
3. Click **Save**.

### Edit a Tag

1. In the Tag Manager, click **View** next to the tag.
2. Update the details and save.

> RegScale provides default FedRAMP tags to support OSCAL export requirements.
